I am too expensive for myself

Yes it is true. I came to realize that I am too expensive for myself. Oh let see here, I drink at least two cups of coffee a day sometimes three. I started to smoke again due to the extra time that I now created. And I eat out lunch everyday. I really do not like cooking, and I am not very good at it in the first place. I think that I need to find someone I can pay who will do that for me. I am sure there is someone out there in the greater Seattle area who will be willing to come and clean and cook in my apartment, and all I need to do is provide the money. Oh that is an extremely easy task for me. I work all the time now that the theatre is back in session. I really love going to and working at the theatre. The theatre is where I have meet some really awesome people. People that are near and dear to my heart.

Music and old friends

This weekend was one of the best in a long time. Saturday night I went with a friend to Redmond to see an old friend play some tunes. The weird thing is Saturday morning I went out to breakfast and it so happens that I ran in to the friends unexpectedly. Some of the friends were sitting eating breakfast and then I appeared. After breakfast, we walked around the market, and then went to eat some fish at Ivars on the water.

For me it was extremely needed to see old friends. I love my friends here in Seattle, but to have a chance to reconnect with old friends is a great feeling. My new friend Andy took me to see the guys play later that night it was great. It was several junior highschooler and a few highschoolers. Man I am getting old. Seriously they looked so little. I guess I was the same way over 10 years ago.

Later that evening Andy took me to one of his bars that he really likes. I thought the pub was “cute.” On Sunday I went to church and got extremely distracted so I left before the service was over. I ended up meeting Andy on Capital Hill. We ate at Linda’s! I have never been there but I think its my new hot spot in Seattle.

I went to bed at 8pm. I really love my sleep. Oh tonight i have to get my laundry done.

Standing in line I wait. There are two people ahead of me, now one. I am the next one. Slowly I move to the register. Can I help you? Excuse me! Can I help you? What would you like today? umm, I think I want the normal. One drip coffee in a styrofoam cup. God, I am boring. I have become quite a robot. I want to speak, but I can’t find the words to say. Silence falls over me. I walk out the door. My music in my head continues to play. Drifting back to a day in college, when I start to think of old friends of the past. I think I hear Backstreet Boys in the background, they were popular when I was in college. I made up a song about my college roomate Rob to the tune. I laugh to myself. Continue through my day, I sit infront of a computer. My computer screen is bigger than my TV at home. Everyday I exchange a warm hello and goodbye. Then I go about my day. I want to talk to people, like people. I want to break the walls of corporations. The walls are HUGE!

I better go now.

Alright I am back, well at least for a little while. The past few weeks have been quite a blur. The season at the 5th starts in about two weeks. You know I am quite excited for it, because it has been a long time since I have seen some of my old friend. I feel like a new school year is about to start, but this time I have things to look forward to. I mean seriously, when i was in grade school, I did not have many friends. I used to spend my days riding my bike through out the town in which I lived. The summers were spent at one of the many lakes that were close to my house. This coming season is going to be a busy one, but I am actually looking forward to it, because I am going to be able to build deeper relationships with the ones that I have spent hours upon hours counting tickets and eating subway and drinking mac&jacks.

Last night was quite a rough night for me. First off, yesterday was my brothers birthday. I miss him, we used to talk. As I went through the day, I met up with my great friend Katy and we went over to Lower Queen Anne. If you don’t know that area of Seattle, you will find the Space Needle there. We sat and drank beers and ate huge burgers. After we hung out for awhile, I went home to clean my apartment. I love where I am living, but sometimes its hard living downtown. First off I am located within walking distance to all Seattle has to offer, not so bad right? Well, its get old from time to time as I watch people shop and shop. Everyday I see people spending hundreds of dollars on junk. I went back to my apartment, and watched a movie that my friend got for me for Christmas one year, in fact,he bought the same movie for most of his friends. He really liked that movie, I do to. After that movie, I went to bed only to be abruptly woken up because the fire alarm went off. Do you know what a hassle it is walking down 5 fights of stairs, man I was half asleep. This happened around 3AM. Seriously 3AM. The I got back into my studio about 3:30AM. The next round happened about 1 HOUR LATER. I got back into my apartment again at 5AM. The final alarm went off at 7AM. Man I guess that is what you get when you have low rent. Also last night there was a man who was extremely wasted, he lived on the 2nd floor. The manager had to call the SPD, they came and arrested this man. It was quite interesting. I guess these adventures are what you get when you live in the heart of downtown. I would not change living here for anything. Life is an adventure in Seattle.

Avenue Q and Breakfast

I am not feeling the greatest today. Right now I am listening to James Blunt, on repeat might I add. Man this song really depresses me. Music is not suppose to depress me rather I find music to inspire me, and challenge me. I wonder where I would be without some form of music in my life. I used to sing in schools and in church but today my voice has become silent. The notebook is playing in the background right now as I type this blog. As I am listening to it, it makes me think that I miss my family, well not exactly my family rather the idea of closeness. Tomorrow is Fathers Day, I completely forgot, my friend has to remind me. I remember most every holiday and day that it falls on. I need to stop thinking, my head hurts. Today I had a great day, I went out to breakfast with an old friend, and then got to go and see Avenue Q. I have never seen Avenue Q, but I am going again next Sunday with a friend, which I am quite excited about it. The Tony’s are next Sunday, I am excited about that. In all the years that the Tony’s have aired, I have been quite busy. My calendar is marked for 8pm-check. Alright I am tired now, its almost 10pm, where did they day go?

The day the music died

Oh sad are the days in my life right now, as my IPOD passed on. I went to the apple store a few days ago to pick up my computer that has been there for the past two weeks. When I got home, I plugged in my Ipod to my computer, and well it went completely blank. I lost all of the music-1700 songs and postcast. Some songs I was able to recreate and thus have landed back onto my computer. Some songs are in a black hole. For now I sit and read the newspaper and read books, and watch the boob tube.

Got Cheese

Man I love living in Seattle. Seriously they have a party for everything. This weekend there were several parties going on. To the north they had a streetfair in the University District (where I used to live) and to the south where currently live they had a Cheese Festival. Oh did I tell you how much I LOVE! cheese. Sometimes I wish I could go to Wisconsin and buy a cheese hat.

It was a beautiful day with bright skies, and I ate cheese.

In other news, I read in the paper that a truck that was holding 14 tons of Oreo’s toppled over on the highway. Now that is an extreme mess. Does anyone have any milk?

Apple Computer

I went to the apple store the other day to pick up my computer that broke, well once I got home I realized something completely different was broken with my computer. Man I am pissed! I am out of a computer for 10 days! Seriously now this is not every cool. I want a new computer, but my computer is only two years old. Still a toddler! I am glad that I have applecare on this beast as it would cost me so much money to fix. Can I please suggest that instead of Apple mass producing equiptment, can you instead take the time to produce quality systems instead of the mass production of Apple Computers?

In other news, I am applying to teach english overseas right now. This idea came to me a few weeks ago as I am getting restless of what I am doing currently and need a new change. I guess that my longevity is not as long as I would like it, maybe there is a new calling that I have on my life. Oh I am so confused. All I know is I love to travel. I love working with people who have less than myself, and hopefully I will mix the two….Oh the journey that awaits me!

New Kids On The Block/Boyz to Men

A summer full of reunions seriously. First Spice Girls they started their world tour, and now on May 17th New Kids on the Block start their tour. Oh and this summer Boyz to Men will be in Seattle, so if you happen to be in the 98101 areacode do yourself a favor and come to the Paramount Theatre, they will be there. Once you finish the concert go hit up the happy hour at Dragonfish. Dragonfish happens to have one of the greatest prices for sushi, and well if your looking for salmon head down to the world famous PIke Place Market. Oh this is going to be a wonderful summer filled with music and laughter, and memories for all to share!
